Local Scholarships Currently Available

  • Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. See Mrs. Charvat for more information. Applications are due March 31, 2026.

  • 3-Dimensional Patriotic Art Contest. See Mrs. Charvat for more information. Applications are due by March 31, 2026.

  • RUDD Scholarship--Must have a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or above; graduate high school in 2026 and enroll full-time in the fall; demonstrate financial need (Pell-Eligible); and be a citizen of the US; be a resident of the state of Kansas; must be admitted to ESU, FHSU, KSU or WSU; and have an ACT score on file.   • The Kelly Lynn Lutz Memorial Scholarship--This scholarship was established to provide support for students and families suffering from cancer related illnesses. Students pursuing secondary education are eligible for up to a 4-year scholarship if they have lost a parent or caretaker to cancer. Apply online at https://www.kllscholarshipfund.org/scholarship before January 10, 2026.

  • Hagan Foundation Scholarship--Students must attend a high school located in the US, must have a 3.5 grade point average or higher, must enroll in a 4-year college or university following graduation, must maintain a 4-year or less graduation schedule, must work select amount of hours following selection, parent's 2024 adjusted gross income must not exceed $100,000, must complete a FAFSA. Students must apply before December 1, 2025 at https://haganscholarships.org/

  • Smoky Valley Community Foundation Scholarships--Apply online before February 15, 2026. https://smokyvalleycf.org/scholarships/

    • A. Jay Steinberg Music Scholarship--SVHS graduating senior.

    • Brandon Rogers Memorial Scholarship--graduating SVHS high school seniors.

    • Clyde & Glenn Lindstrom Scholarship--graduating SVHS high school seniors pursuing a post-secondary education in a vocational field

    • Dorothy J. Ziegler Music & Art Scholarship--graduating SVHS high school senior majoring in either visual or performing arts

    • Judith K. Burch Scholarship--graduating SVHS senior planning to attend Bethany College. Preference will be given to students majoring in math, science or teaching.

    • Westman Scholarship--graduating SVHS seniors.

    • Mona Peterson Community Service Scholarship--graduating SVHS seniors.

    • Smoky Valley Elementary Education Scholarship--graduating SVHS seniors that plan to major in Elementary Education.

  • May Fete King/Queen Scholarship--Open to all SVHS seniors. Must be willing to participate in building a float, May Fete ceremonies and May Fete parade. Applications due December 19, 2025. See Mrs. Charvat for an application!
