Local Scholarships Currently Available
Distinguished Viking Leader Scholarship--Scholarship is awarded regardless of financial need. Students must carry at minimum 3.5 grade point average during the semester before the application is complete AND the winner of the award must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average during the following fall semester to receive funds. Eligible candidates must be working toward a degree at either a 2- or 4-year college, university, junior college or graduate school. See Mrs. Charvat for an application. All applications must be submitted prior to April 1, 2023.
VFW Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. See Mrs. Charvat for details. Apply before March 31, 2023.

VFW Get Excited for the Red, White & Blue. Students must record their rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. See Mrs. Charvat for more information. Apply before March 31, 2023.
Nick Charvat Vocal Music Scholarship--Open to graduating seniors involved in vocal music, planning to pursue a degree in music OR education. See Mrs. Charvat for an application. Apply before March 24, 2023.
PEO Chapter CC of Lindsborg Scholarship--Applicant must be a female high school senior involved with school and community activities. See Mrs. Charvat for an application. Applications due by April 6, 2023.

Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials Association--Student must be a current high school senior or college freshman; planning to major in journalism, political science, business accounting or communications; have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; and be a Kansas resident planning to attend a Kansas College as a full time student. Korbe Family Nursing Scholarship--For students in pursuit of a BSN.
Lindsborg Auxiliary Scholarship--SVHS senior seeking to further their knowledge base in health care.
Jordan Heimer Memorial Scholarship for Allied Health--SVHS senior pursuing a career in allied health.
Mae Walline Nursing Scholarship--Open to RNs, LPNs or CNAs who are employees of the Lindsborg Comm. Hospital or Bethany Village who are looking to continue their education in health care.
Jack & Glenna Ross Memorial Healthcare Scholarship--Applications open to traditional and non-traditional students who have completed a high school diploma and reside within a 30 mile radius of Lindsborg. Applicants must also be planning to pursue a career in the healthcare field.
Saline County Farm Bureau Scholarships--Students or their parents must be a Saline County Farm Bureau member. Preference goes to students pursuing a career in an Agriculture related field, but all students should apply if they or their parents are members. See Mrs. Charvat for an application. Applications are due by March 31, 2023.
Kansas Financial Scholarship--This scholarship is designed to recognize students who place importance on managing their money well. Up to 5 scholarship are awarded to graduating high school seniors who will continue their education in Kansas. Lindsborg Arts Council Scholarship--Students must be college-bound seniors in the Smoky Valley District, planning to enroll in an arts-related course during their first college semester. Applicants must be willing to demonstrate their artistic endeavors before a small committee of Lindsborg Arts Council board members. See Mrs. Charvat for an application. Apply before March 27, 2023.
National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of the Heartland Scholarship--Available to any high school senior who will pursue a 2 or 4-year college degree or attend a technical school pursuing a career. This scholarship will be awarded to a student whose GPA falls between a 2.5 and a 3.75. See Mrs. Charvat for a copy of this application. Apply before April 15, 2023.
