I am so excited to be teaching for Smoky Valley High School! I have a degree in Mathematics Education from Kansas State University. Go Cats!
In my thirty years of teaching, I have taught in Chapman, Manhattan, Garden City, and most recently in Salina. My experience includes teaching 8th Grade Mathematics, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. In my early years of teaching I coached volleyball, basketball, and track.
My husband and I live in Salina with Banksy, our sweet little corgi/dachshund/chihuahua mix. I have three grown children Kaylee, Garrett, and Hannah. My oldest Kaylee is also a teacher, and my daughter Hannah is working on her degree at Kansas State University in English and Journalism.
You might see me walking with my husband Charles and our family dog, or biking around Salina. When I am not walking or biking I am trying to find a good novel to read.
It's a great day to be a Viking!
