Mrs. Hilbig is a Smoky Valley High School graduate and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in 1992. Deena obtained her master’s degree from Kansas State University and District Leadership License from Newman University.
She has spent her entire educational career in USD #305, Salina Public Schools. Mrs. Hilbig was a teacher at Whittier Elementary and Coronado Elementary, and lead teacher at Sunset and Coronado Elementary Schools. Deena is currently the principal of Meadowlark Ridge Elementary, Salina, and has served in that capacity since 2006.
