COVID Protocol Update
USD 400 Board of Education and Administrative Leadership
Due to an increase of COVID-Positive tests at Soderstrom Elementary School, Smoky Valley Middle School, and Smoky Valley High School, face coverings will be required for all USD 400 staff, students, and visitors in Smoky Valley facilities from Thursday, January 20 until Sunday, January 30, 2022. This change updates the previous protocol change for grades 7-12.
COVID infections continue to be on the rise and it is becoming more difficult to find substitute teachers and staff to keep school running. The purpose of this protocol change is to help curtail the spread of COVID throughout the buildings with the intention of keeping in-person school in place.
