Congratulations to Smoky Valley Middle School science teacher Melanie Falcon for being selected as the 2020 Smoky Valley IMPACT Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Falcon joined Smoky Valley MS in the fall of 2017. In that short time, she has started a STEM club and formed a Science Olympiad team that competes against other area schools annually.
With the IMPACT Teacher award comes a $500 donation from the Smoky Valley Education Foundation that she can use in her classroom. Mrs. Falcon is also eligible to represent Smoky Valley in the KSDE Kansas Teacher of the Year program.
