  • HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP (STUDENT MUST BE ENROLLED AS A FULL-TIME HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR IN THE US WITH PLANS TO ENTER COLLEGE THE FALL SEMESTER AFTER GRADUATION, EXHIBIT A STRONG COMMITMENT TO PURSUE AND COMPLETE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE AT AN ACCREDITED NON-PROFIT PUBLIC OR PRIVATE INSTITUTION IN THE US, DEMONSTRATE FINANCIAL NEED, BE INVOLVED IN CO-CURRICULAR AND COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES, DISPLAY INTEGRITY AND PERSEVERANCE IN OVERCOMING ADVERSITY, HOLD A MINIMUM GPA OF 2.0, AND BE A US CITIZEN).  APPLICATIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 25, 2019.  APPLY ONLINE AT https://scholars.horatioalger.org/.
  • Kansas Buffalo association scholarship--The Kansas Buffalo Association is offering a $1000 scholarship to a high school senior or first-year college freshman who is involved in raising bison and/or is planning to pursue a career in an agriculturally related field.  Applications are due prior to october 15, 2019.  apply online at http://www.kansasbuffalo.org/news.cfm?id=7
  • Voice of democracy audio/essay contest--See mrs. charvat for additional information.  deadline to enter is october 31, 2019.
  • young american creative patriotic art contest--see mrs. charvat for additional information.  deadline to enter is march 31, 2020.
  • prudential spirit of community awards--students are eligible if they are in grades 5-12 as of Nov. 5, is a legal resident of one of the 50 states, has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred in part after sept. 1, 2018, and completed an application and submits it to a school principal or the head of an officially designed local organization before nov. 5.  see mrs. charvat for more information.
  • rudd foundation scholarships ARE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS IN THE STATE OF KANSAS.  STUDENTS MUST HAVE A 3.0 OR ABOVE GPA AND GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL IN 2020.  ALSO, STUDENTS MUST DEMONSTRATE HIGH FINANCIAL NEED, BE PELL-ELIGIBLE, AND ATTEND ESU, FHSU, OR WSU.  APPLY ONLINE BETWEEN OCTOBER 14, AND DECEMBER 13, 2019. https://www.ruddfoundation.org/college-scholarships/
  • May fete royalty scholarship--any senior boy or girl is welcome to apply.  please see mrs. charvat for an application.  applications are due no later than october 25, 2019.

  • hagan foundation scholarships--students must be attending a U.S. high school, and graduating in 2020, must have achieved a gpa of 3.75 or higher, must score 24 or higher on the act or 1150 or higher on the sat, must enroll in a four-year college or university the fall semester after graduating high school, must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college, must complete the fafsa in 2019, efc must be less than $6,500, must apply for eligible federal and state grants, and must not have been convicted of a felony.  apply online before november 15, 2019.  https://www.haganscholarships.org
  • kelly lynn lutz memorial scholarship foundation--this scholarship was established to provide scholarships and financial assistance for students and families suffering from cancer related illnesses.  students pursuing secondary education are eligible for up to a 4-year scholarship if they have lost a parent or caretaker to cancer.  apply online before january 10, 2020.  https://www.kllscholarshipfund.org
