Checking out and reading books from a library is an integral part of a child's education. Using the library is an important component of being a lifelong learner.
All students will visit the library once a week for a library lesson. First and second graders will visit a second time for just a check-out. Third and fourth graders are welcome to visit the library anytime their classroom teachers allows them. Pre-K through fourth grade will be expected to check out a book. Pre-K is allowed to check out 1 book each visit. K-4 students are allowed to check out 2 books each visit.
Books are due back in 1 week. No student will be allowed to have more than 2 books checked out at one time. Students are able to re-check a book if needed. They are also able to put a book on hold.
Over due notices are given out to those students that have books out over 1 week due. Books that are overdue more than 6 weeks are considered lost. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair a replacement fee will be charged.
