Science Teacher

BS Biology from Kansas State University; MA in Biology from UIW; MAT in Secondary Science from Pittsburg State University

11 years of experience in education

My name is Ms. Cooper and I am the 9th-12th grade science teacher at SVVCS. This is my 2nd year in this position and my 11th year as a teacher. I am a K-State alumni and enjoy returning to Manhattan often to participate in family and athletic events. I currently reside in Lindsborg with my husband and our two children. We enjoy spending time together as a family and going on bike rides, traveling, and walking along the Välkommen Trail here in town.

Teaching at SVVCS is a constant source of inspiration, as it provides me with the unique opportunity to connect with students from beyond our immediate community. The dynamic environment of online schooling allows me to adapt my instructional practices to meet individual student needs, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment in my role. Additionally, I find inspiration in embracing emerging technologies and innovative teaching platforms to foster a sense of community and connection with students in a virtual setting.
